MaxxForceengine platform
MaxxForce was Navistar's EGR-only engine family (no SCR), built from roughly 2007-2013 and phased out after Navistar adopted SCR. The platform was replaced by the N13 and then the A26. We diagnose and service MaxxForce engines still in service across International trucks.
MaxxForce engines in service
The MaxxForce engine model numbers in production and in service across Class 5-8 commercial trucks over roughly the last 15 years. MTG diagnoses and services every one of these.

10.3L heavy-duty; regional and vocational Class 8.
9.3L; vocational and medium-heavy Class 7-8.
7.6L; the long-running medium-duty workhorse in International 4300/4400.
6.4L V8; medium-duty and International DuraStar.
3.0L; lighter medium-duty Class 5.
12.4L; rebranded/updated MaxxForce 13 (post-2013), still in service.
12.4L; the current Navistar heavy-duty platform (2017+), successor to MaxxForce.
Diagnostics, not guesswork
We connect the right brand-specific diagnostic software for MaxxForce, pull both active and inactive fault codes, and read live data — soot load, differential pressure, NOx readings, EGT, fuel pressure, charging voltage — before recommending a single part. From forced DPF regens and SCR/DEF derates to no-starts, cooling faults, and air system service, our techs handle it in the shop or on the shoulder.
MTG Shops does not perform MaxxForce engine overhauls or in-frame / out-of-frame rebuilds in-house. We have quality partners in every market who specialize in MaxxForce overhauls. We handle the diagnosis, get the truck to the right specialist, and coordinate the handoff so your downtime stays minimal.
