Warranty Disclaimers & Exclusions

Limited Warranty Disclaimer

Mobile Transportation Group Shops explicitly disclaims any and all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, for the following diagnostic and repair services:

  • Electrical Diagnosis and Repair
  • Check Engine Light Diagnosis and Repair
  • Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Issues
  • Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) Engine Issues
  • Coolant Leak Repairs

All diagnostic and repair services listed above are provided on an "as-is" basis. Mobile Transportation Group Shops does not guarantee that these repairs will permanently eliminate the symptoms, codes, or underlying issues. The customer acknowledges that these specific automotive systems are highly complex, prone to rapid wear, and heavily influenced by external variables, driver behavior, and preexisting vehicle conditions. Mobile Transportation Group Shops shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from these services. By authorizing these repairs, the customer accepts full financial responsibility for any subsequent failures or related issues that may arise after the vehicle leaves the shop.

Why These Repairs Carry No Warranty

Warranties require predictability. These five specific areas are excluded from standard warranties because their success depends heavily on factors outside a technician's control.

1. Electrical Diagnosis & Repair
  • Intermittent Nature: Electrical issues can be highly inconsistent and driven by temperature, humidity, or vibration.
  • Cascading Failures: Fixing a short circuit in one wire can increase voltage down the line, immediately exposing a weak component elsewhere.
  • Hidden Corrosion: Corroded wiring harnesses can span the entire length of a vehicle, making it impossible to guarantee that a patch in one spot prevents a failure in another.
2. Check Engine Lights & Repairs
  • Shared Symptoms: A single dashboard light can be triggered by hundreds of different error codes.
  • Chain Reactions: Resolving the primary code frequently allows the vehicle's computer to complete its system readiness monitors, which often uncovers secondary, underlying faults that were previously hidden.
  • Component Wear: Sensors fail naturally over time; replacing one failing sensor does not prevent a neighboring sensor from failing the next day.
3. Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Issues
  • Driving Habits: DPF systems rely on long highway drives to reach the high temperatures needed to self-clean (regenerate). Frequent short trips or excessive idling will instantly soot up and plug a brand-new or newly cleaned DPF.
  • Upstream Engine Faults: A DPF is a filter; it only clogs if the engine upstream is running poorly (e.g., bad fuel injectors, worn turbochargers, or incorrect oil usage), which a DPF repair does not fix.
4. SCR Engine Issues
  • DEF Quality: Selective Catalytic Reduction systems rely entirely on Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF). If a driver uses contaminated, old, or low-quality DEF, the SCR system will fail immediately regardless of the repair quality.
  • Crystallization: DEF naturally crystallizes and plugs injector nozzles when exposed to air or improper temperatures, which is an environmental and operational hazard rather than a repair defect.
5. Coolant Leaks
  • System Pressure: Repairing the weakest/biggest leak in a cooling system restores the system to its full operating pressure. This renewed pressure frequently causes the next weakest component (an old hose, a brittle radiator plastic tank, or a failing water pump seal) to burst.
  • Hidden Weakness: Coolant hoses and gaskets degrade from the inside out, making it impossible to visually verify the structural integrity of the entire system during a single repair.

Customer-Supplied Parts Disclaimer

Customer-supplied parts carry no warranty, express or implied, on parts or labor. If such parts fail or are incorrect, all diagnostics, removal, and reinstallation labor will be charged at the standard rate. The customer agrees to hold the shop harmless for any damages caused by customer-supplied parts.

Temporary Repair Statement

NO WARRANTY ON "TEMP FIX" OR "CUSTOMER REQUESTED" REPAIRS. At the customer’s explicit request, a temporary repair has been performed on the equipment/system instead of the recommended permanent fix. The customer acknowledges and agrees that this repair is short-term, experimental, and provided strictly "as-is" with absolutely no warranty, express or implied. The company makes no guarantees regarding the performance, safety, or lifespan of this temporary measure. By authorizing this work, the customer assumes all operational and financial risks, including the potential for sudden equipment failure, property damage, or subsequent complications. The company is hereby released from any and all liability, claims, or damages resulting from this temporary fix, and the customer is strongly advised to schedule a proper, permanent repair immediately.

Right to Deny Claims

Mobile Transportation Group Shops reserves the right to deny any warranty claim for any reason.
